Please follow our guidelines when submitting your work - any work that doesn't follow the guidelines when it comes to the closing date will not be featured.

Your submission should follow this format:

Title: optional, not all people name their poetry
The poem: Your poem here :)
Your name: [housenamehere]

Rules

1. You may only submit your own work! If we find that you're submitting work not done by you, you will be reported to the Guards

3. Your poetry should be spell-checked before you submit it. If it's riddled with spelling errors then we won't accept it.

2003-12-15 [Sheona]: Perhaps we could have a nature theme? I mean, the greatest poets all used the theme of nature in their poetry at some stage. Maybe we should try it too! See what masterpieces people can come up with!

2003-12-16 [natethegreat707]: Ya maybe but its january not summer time =]

2003-12-18 [Shadowy Vestige]: its summer here in australia - and anyway i like the idea of having a winter - nature theme. i think alot of great poetry could be derived from this theme.

2003-12-20 [9dragonsofchaos]: ya a nature theme sounds great alot of ppl will like it too. just because its not summer doesnt mean we dont have nature

2003-12-20 [Linn Scarlett]: hey i would like to submitt a poem i wrote a few days ago, when i was watching parts of RotK again, and made one about Elrond's grief, uh-hu write poems about spring *holds up a few scratch papers*

2003-12-23 [9dragonsofchaos]: hey lets have it on beggings sence its the begging of the new year (do ya get it)

2003-12-30 [StanslausAsriel]: nature theme sounds good i think everyone would have plenty to write about, nature is endless. We could have different sections for different seasons, or we could only admit those poems adjacent to the season.

2004-01-09 [Arlamon]: I think it should be on Love!

2004-01-09 [noineooooo]: why not on why we exist? or the meaning of life....

2004-01-15 [eimhin]: How exactly do we submit the nature poems? Just post a comment, or should they be directed to someone in particular?

2004-01-22 [DeathByStick]: so what is the theme Nature?

2004-01-22 [eimhin]: This looks like it's become defunct... where are th emoderators?

2004-01-23 [CastNuri]: Coming soon,we can only hope.

2004-01-24 [alfa2omega]: i'd like a more dramatic theme

2004-01-24 [DeathByStick]: I am with you alfa a more dramatic theme would be better.

2004-01-26 [Skyeeldor]: if anyone knows any other places to post poetry please message me. i have some i would love to share but dont know where to do it.

2004-01-28 [Sheona]: Nature can be dramatic! Especially if it's about winter.

2004-01-29 [chaosdestroy]: i think...we should write about pain and hatred, always good stuff

2004-01-29 [Kute LiL InNOcent]: pain and hatred? I think i agree with choas here...most things written about pain or hatred are always better.

2004-01-30 [DeathByStick]: I don't have winter where I live ...... OH yes! I have lots of poems about pain and hatred in my little poem folder thingy.......

2004-01-30 [Kiski]: I have winter... a lot of it too. Go Canada! Um, how do you post poemythings here? Mine are all about loneliness...

2004-01-30 [xFallen Immortalx]: Yea....how do u post poems???

2004-01-30 [Calico Tiger]: Read the Wiki FAQ and its links (all the bold words in green) ^_^

2004-01-30 [Scooz]: Ok, I am really new here and havent a clue about anything here. I have a few poems I would like to post but I am not sure how to. Can someone help me?

2004-01-31 [Calico Tiger]: Read the rest of the comments on here ;) Noteworthy is the comment right above yours. Read the Wiki FAQ and all its links. That will explain how to post on wiki pages (including poetry on poetry wiki pages).

2004-01-31 [JessieAnn]: i think we should be able to write about wwhat we want.. because when most people write poems the words spill onto the page and sometimes you dont know where the the poems goin to lead.. but if we have to pick a topic it should be the thoughts inside our heads.

2004-01-31 [JessieAnn]: i also have the same problem as Luthien_elf_87!! plz help us... but i kinda know what is going on.

2004-01-31 [System-Shock]: topics are hard to concur upon however they are not entirely impossible to follow

2004-01-31 [System-Shock]: Most poets just write with the stream that flows through them and don't have the ability to actually think of a theme but rather wish to write with freedom. Is there a place where we can submit free-form poetry?

2004-02-01 [Anwyn]: i have to agree with system-shock, its hard to write a poem without feeling "moved" by what your writing about.

2004-02-01 [DeathByStick]: This is funny its Febuary and we still haven't decided a "theme"

2004-02-03 [Paul]: "...most poets just write with the stream that flows through them..." ok, i have several serious problems with that sentence. please attempt to have at least a basic understanding of what youre talking about before you make such bold and broad statements.

2004-02-04 [Anwyn]: it is funny.. how about we write about groundhogs.,... heheh just kidding..

2004-02-05 [DeathByStick]: umm noo....How about you write about groundhogs lol

2004-02-11 [elf_fu]: Just curious- To submit a themed poem, does one send it to one of the Head Poetry Cheese's :-P ?

2004-02-13 [brokenpixxiewing]: if anyone cares ill have more poems in my diary soon just give me time then tell me what you think

2004-02-14 [Kiski]: Yay! Do you like my poem? I wrote it a couple years ago, so its not my best... My best one was really creepy, so I thought I shouldn't freak you out.

2004-02-15 [fallenangel0016]: lol my poems short compared to you guy's poems..i hope its ok

2004-02-18 [Kiski]: wow.. deep.

2004-02-19 [elf_fu]: Eeerrrooopsies. There's supposed to be italics in my poem...But I notice they don't seem to be working through out the page?

2004-03-01 [lunarsun]: Hey ^^ Im the newest addition to the Nook, and if the others are unavaliable (or anything like that) feel free to email me, or message me with anything at all :D

2004-03-03 [Schob]: ok ppl know you aint used to dealing with the grumpy old schoby but i was wondering if i ould possibly get some irish/celtic poems out of anyone for the next isue ^^!!! not the nicet way to ask for poems but i am in the middle of a web desighn class as i ak this so i apologize ><

2004-03-04 [chrius]: Sorry for putting my song up....

2004-03-07 [elf_fu]: Ahh. Well. I had put an Irish/Celtic poem up here..About the Legend and Myth of Silver Arm....but..it's gone..0.o ..Unless that's not how one is suppoed to subit one. *shrugs* Ahh well.

2004-03-07 [Schob]: hmmm i didnt check this place intime i will have to find out what happened to it

2004-03-08 [RavenTalon]: I am writing about birds, but I guess I can stick a new species in there to fit the theme... a cloverbird??

2004-03-08 [RavenTalon]: hmm..or a Blarney bird..

2004-03-09 [Schob]: hehe maybe a drunken bird (like most ppl around here are on saint pattys day) ><!!!

2004-03-19 [RavenTalon]: LOL

2004-03-19 [RavenTalon]: Some kid deleted half the poetry page in the daily poem. There are only like twenty there now:( Mine were all deleted!!!

2004-03-29 [I belong nowhere]: how do i enter a poem ?

2004-03-29 [Mordigen]: You click the 'edit this page' button and type your poem, with your username, under the 'april theme & deadline'

2004-03-29 [lunarsun]: I'm sorry I havent been here for the last bit. Im here now, open to answer as many questions as I can. ^^ Thx Mordigen

2004-03-29 [Mordigen]: not a problem ^_^

2004-04-01 [lunarsun]: silence....

2004-04-04 [XWalls_OxF_HopeX]: They really need to make place for themed poems I have many and no where to put em (if any know when and where there'll be a place let me know

2004-04-04 [lunarsun]: hm...~will talk to some people about this idea~

2004-04-04 [RavenTalon]: Hi!!

2004-04-05 [lunarsun]: Hi^^!! (looks around...~it says that the page was changed...but it wasnt...weird...unless im blind...~

2004-04-18 [Detawni]: how the heck do i enter a poem in anything?

2004-04-19 [Mordigen]: You click the *edit this page* button, and then simply type in your poem here, with your username, and then when your finished click the *submit changes* button

2004-04-19 [lunarsun]: eek!!! Im soooo sorry....i did it again...i got grounded off the computer, and then had easter break so couldnt get to school to do the check up!! Im sorry :(

2004-04-19 [Schob]: >> << um metro would you happen to have any flower or fall or spring like poems handy ><

2004-04-24 [Lexa]: i don't understand how i enter a poem... is i just me?

2004-04-24 [Mordigen]: there is a button just above the comments section, it says "edit this page". You click it, and a text-box will show up. You sroll down to the bottom, and directly type in your poem there, once you've got it the way you want it, hit the "submit changes" button just below the text box. When the page refreshes, your poem will be entered

2004-05-06 [rafael16]: how so you submit a poem here

2004-05-06 [Ocean Dreaming]: Not by deleting the entire page. Mordigen's comment above you explains how to submit a poem, actually. ^-^

2004-05-06 [rafael16]: forget the above comment.

2004-05-06 [lunarsun]: ~wonders what Shanra was talking about? when 'not by deleting the entire page'...Thx for answering rafael16's question Shanra. i was on my lunchbreak ^^

2004-05-06 [Ocean Dreaming]: Check version 37 ;)

2004-05-07 [lunarsun]: ~scratches head...heehee...knew that....~

2004-05-10 [Semjezel]: not much traffic in here, thats sad kinda

2004-05-10 [Mordigen]: Well we have issues in our webhosting and publishing area -- until we get that all tied up, The Herald can't do much, so the May info and participation wiki's haven't started running yet

2004-05-13 [lunarsun]: hope it gets fixed soon

2004-05-13 [Mordigen]: [i fall from the sky] -- The theme for May has *not* been announced yet, your poem might be removed once the theme is announced since you couldn't wait for us to announce it

2004-05-16 [i fall from the sky]: im sorry :(

2004-05-16 [Mordigen]: it's ok -- just a warning....

2004-05-16 [Mordigen]: i mean, I dont think *We * even know what the theme is officially yet -- so just a warning that it might be taken down when the theme is posted

2004-05-16 [i fall from the sky]: ok thank u ^_^

2004-05-18 [Starna]: Im confused as to when this stuff is collected. I look here at the beginning of the month, and it says look for the theme, then nothing for awhile then hey it's over come back again. This May theme, is this a theme for an issue in June? I wanted to participate for about 3 months, but havent looked EVERY day, and missed it each time.

2004-05-18 [Mordigen]: Well, at the moment the Herald is on hold because we're having webmaster issues, and until we get that cleared up we *cant* really do much -- as for the rest of the time, the team hasn't exactly been keeping up with posting updates, and by the time I get around to checking things, I either have to post an update that the crew is either sick, or having comp problems, or that the theme is already over --- but the april theme was posted up nearly all month, and no one entered, so you should have been able to catch that one

2004-05-18 [Starna]: honestly, april I didnt look. I'll look for the next one. Thanks

2004-05-18 [Mordigen]: We aren't certain when we will be getting it back up, because we're still trying to get together our Webmaster issue --- and to be perfectly honest, I have no earthly idea where the *actual* Poetry Corner team is, or what they're up to, but I'm getting incredibly irritated with them not being around, posting updates, or themes.....I'm sorry you've had to wait so long to just participate

2004-05-18 [Mordigen]: The poems posted have been removed, due to the fact that this section has been put on hold, and no theme had been posted

2004-05-18 [lunarsun]: Ok, im going to get this question out of the way, so you Mordigen wont be doing everything *blush* no one explained to me who decides on the themes or any of that stuff.

2004-05-19 [Mordigen]: The Herald Does, every month -- what ever the theme is for the Herald, that is also the theme for the Poetry Corner & Art Corner

2004-05-19 [lunarsun]: *salutes...and tries to do a better job...then takes it back, frowning and punters off...* ok..I deserved that...

2004-05-19 [lunarsun]: I tried, guess it wasnt enough. Guess that what a broken computer, and such does to ya...and I did let someone know I was gone. I let Schob know...wrong person I guess. Goodbye Poetry Corner...

2004-05-19 [Kal'daka]: whoa whoa whoa, hold up the fort. Tell me, why is she getting the boot for being busy, when the other 2 are busy as well, and personal problems, yet they get to stay? She told someone, and oops she told the wrong person. I know their are personal things going on in her life ( bf, gf connection) and what if there are personal things going on in her life that she didnt want to tell anyone about? Just a question...She's Trying, what else can you do?

2004-05-19 [lunarsun]: Dj, dont worry about...Ill just leave. I deserve it, my fault, i couldnt be here.

2004-05-20 [Mordigen]: Because she never actually applied for the Herald, nor did she get interviewed, nor did she submit a guest submission and wait for the rest of the Crew to approve her like every single other rest of us -- she was brought on to help out when the times were rough, and was just put on the team list without OKing with anyone first, and none of us really cared, as long as she was helping out Schob while he was busy -- but she's busy too, so there's no point in getting someone to help you out if they don't have the time to do it either -- plus, both Schob & Kae have been around much much longer than she has, and everyone on the team was already well aware of the issues that would keep them away

2004-05-20 [Mordigen]: everynow and then, but they still come back and work their asses off as soon as they get back on schedule, and they both do a lot moer than just strictly the Poetry Corner, so they've been put on a leave of absence because they have other areas of the Herald they work for too, and we can't just randomly boot them because we still rely on them for so much -- but the fact that she technically never went through the hiring process, and most of the Herald crew doesn't even know about her, nor was anyone told about her except a select few, then she was never hired to begin with, she was helping us out -- we have a seperate badge for people who lend us help when we need it who aren't technically

2004-05-20 [Mordigen]: crew, and whenever [Lerune] gets back from moving into her new house, she will probably appoint Dragon one for her work here -- but if people repeatedly forget to check up on things, or constantly have computer problems, they get booted, no matter how long they've been here -- we've had several of our Herald veterans that we had to boot because of that, or just willingly left because they knew they couldn't keep up with it -- and it doesn't mean that we're mad or pissed off, it just means theres no need to keep them around and get rellied on if they can't do it, and we need to find someone who can....that's it. No one is upset with her, or mad at her in any way shape or form, we just need to

2004-05-20 [Mordigen]: get people in here who can actually spend time on this and keep up with it other than me, because I'm not even technically suppose to be working on this -- I'm the section supervisor for the section that this is in, meaning I keep up with it, but I have a good 10 other more difficult things that I'm suppose to be working on, so it simply means we need to get different people in here who have the time and means of watching this place as it needs to be

2004-05-20 [Starna]: What does this stuff entail? I think one problem you have is when the helpers don't understand how much they're required to do. Not to sound like an ass, but it doesnt seem like there is much to this section being that it's looked at every once and awhile to make sure stuff doesnt go wrong, then actually updated monthly. So please, if you're looking for help, tell us what you'd need time-wise. I'm interested, but don't know if I'll have the time.

2004-05-20 [Mordigen]: well -- I'm not the one who asked Dragon for the help, so I don't know what was told to her -- but no, there isn't much to be done here, and it really shouldn't have taken much time at all to keep up with this place.

2004-05-20 [Mordigen]: Every month the theme is announced, once it is announce people of ET have until the deadline to submit poems that follow the theme. The people who work in the section check the poems to make sure they follow the theme, the person's username is submitted with the poem, and check as best as you can to make sure it's not stolen....though that can be a bit hard, and keep up with comments and questions asked on the page. then once deadline comes around, post a message that the theme is closed, and take the poems that follow the theme & aren't stolen and submit them to the Herald Poetry Corner article section -- which you will get the link for if you are accepted to the poetry corner team

2004-05-20 [Mordigen]: you apply at Herald Hopefuls if you are interested, and you wait for one of the Hiring Commitee to contact you, more than likely it will be me, and they'll talk to you a bit more, give you a short interview, and then discuss you with the other Herald Crew, and then you'll be told whether or not you've been accepted, and if so, you'll be given all the necessary links

2004-05-20 [Starna]: Sounds do-able. I put my name down, but who knows if you guys will need help since it doesn't look like there'll be an issue soon.

2004-05-20 [Ocean Dreaming]: I don't think help is ever a bad thing. ;)

2004-05-20 [lunarsun]: Modigen, I wanna thank you for that explaination...But it wasn’t only computer problems that kept me at bay…*sighs…* see, I never told anyone that there were personal things going on because, every time I went to type it or think about it, in my mind there was a nagging saying ‘you know what that problem is…’ that problem would be one of the most loved people in my life. That was my father. And the worst part about it? I watched him die and that set me back alittle while... So, in hope that I may still work here…maybe…Mordigen, may I reapply at the Hearld Hopefuls, and join the right way? Had I known that that’s not how things were done at the Hearld, I would have done it properly.

2004-05-20 [lunarsun]: I want to do it properly…I want to try again…

2004-05-21 [Mordigen]: Well you didn't have to tell us anything specific, you just simply needed to tell us something so we could have gotten someone to fill in, instead of just leaving. *that* is the frustrating part...and it's not just you, Schob disappeared a bit too, but the Herald was already warned about his general issues, and we'd know if we hadn't heard from him in a while, then those were why -- Kae is the only one who kept us up to date on her stance, and she should be back pretty soon now....that was the biggest frustration, the fact that nothing was being done, and no explanation or warning was given. And with all that said, you can still go and apply at the Herald Hopefuls, but

2004-05-21 [Mordigen]: my suggestion to you is wait until you *know* you have the time, and mindset to do it --- we don't want to put anymore stress or burden on you even more than we do the Herald, because when it gets down to it, that's what matters -- This is just an online magazine, and even though we take it very seriously, things here come second to people -- so even if you do go and sign up right now, I wouldn't let them take you on board until I know everything is ok on your end more than anything else.

2004-05-21 [lunarsun]: ok...Thanks Mordigen...for everythiing...*smiles*

2004-05-27 [lunarsun]: o and Mordigen, the Poetry Corner Contest needs to be looked after...dont know whos going to do it , but thought you needed to know

2004-06-23 [Daemon's mistress]: how can i get my poetry public?

2004-06-23 [Sheona]: Try the daily poem, or wait until this place is up and running again! There are also a few wiki pages for sharing poetry. If you're interested, let me know and I can point you to a few.

2004-07-01 [Kaimee]: Poetry Corners open for business ^_^

2004-07-01 [Kaimee]: and I'll add a deadline when we know what it is:P

2004-07-01 [Mordigen]: Nicely organized

2004-07-01 [Kaimee]: thats what i do:P

2004-07-02 [Kaimee]: thankue [pegasus1000]! this months first entry :)

2004-07-02 [pegasus1000]: I hope you enjoy.. I have a second one now.. This topic is hearder then I thought it would be.

2004-07-02 [Kaimee]: im amazed you can write them so quickly! lol

2004-07-02 [pegasus1000]: well the first one was easy, the second was hearder, I have no clue if I could pull off a third that would be any good.

2004-07-02 [pegasus1000]: but thanks..

2004-07-02 [Sheona]: I would find it quite a difficult topic too! I admire anyone even willing to give it a go!

2004-07-03 [shadow_of_life]: Well, actually it IS difficult, but at the end, I think, you find yourself purified and better - there's nothing else like a summer night!

2004-07-03 [Sheona]: I agree! It's always nice to have something to inspire to begin with, as well, and this theme certainly has me inspired!

2004-07-03 [shadow_of_life]: Well, bring it on, what are you waiting for!

2004-07-04 [shadow_of_life]: now that was nice - and absolutely nott like anything else - [barutha], greetings

2004-07-04 [barutha]: thankyou

2004-07-05 [toycar]: i have started watching this page...i will try to write somethingish

2004-07-05 [Kaimee]: good to know ^_^

2004-07-07 [shadow_of_life]: heyyy, [Sheona], I saw your Daily - it is great!!!!

2004-07-08 [BarleySinger]: It's July. Do we have a theme?

2004-07-08 [Kaimee]: If you check out The Town Herald you'll note we're running a bit behind due to webmaster problems, so we're working on the june theme :) its still current and you can submit art for the theme posted in the updates :)

2004-07-08 [Sheona]: Thanks, [shadow_of_life]. Seeing my poem on mainstreet made my day! And it's nice to see so many people posting poems here! ^_^

2004-07-12 [Kaimee]: [Elmiira], submittions must follow the theme, could you please explain how yours does?

2004-07-13 [Elmiira]: okay, i take it away, I'm very sorry about posting it... Please forgive me.... I didn't read this page far enough that i could have found out that there is theme... I didn't have so much time then, so only thought that i would read it later... but I read it now and I'm sorry... Could you tell me what is the theme this month?

2004-07-13 [Sheona]: Don't worry about it :) This months theme is based on A Midsummer Nights Dream, with butterflies, dragonflies and Faes! Just write a poem containing these elements. We look forard to your submission!

2004-07-14 [Agent Jodi]: Eeee my poem is about dreaming, and the Nightlord is a Fae king! I'm new to the whole wiki thing, so is this where I'm supposed to provide extra info for my poem?

2004-07-14 [Elmiira]: sorry, my poem is so long... but this time it fits to the theme...

2004-07-14 [Sheona]: you can provide extra info just under your poem, if you wish ^_^

2004-07-14 [Sheona]: Thanks for your poem, [Elmiira]. Nice to see you still came back to submit a poem!

2004-07-15 [Kaimee]: nice to see i didnt scare you off ;)

2004-07-15 [Kaimee]: ooh also [Elmiira], the poem must be on a wiki (not this one) or your house by the deadline, otherwise it will have to be disqualified :( if you put it in your house it doesnt have to remain there permanently though, read the PoetryCorner guidelines

2004-07-15 [Elmiira]: is it ok, if I put it in my diary? otherwise I will put it in my page...

2004-07-15 [Sheona]: Yeah, that's just fine ^_^

2004-07-15 [Elmiira]: okay, i'll put it in my diary..

2004-07-16 [Kaimee]: Ok, just a warning to most of the ppl who submitted poems: the link to the theme must be obvious, if it isnt obvious it is up to you to come here, edit the page and fix it yourself, the way [Agent Jodi] has. You will not be getting individual warnings, the theme is a Midsummer Nights Dream thing, with butterflies, dragonflies and Faes so make sure your poetry has an obvious link or explain it until it does. Otherwise your poem may not be featured in the next issue of the Herald. Thats how it is. Thankyou.

2004-07-16 [Elmiira]: Umm... Does my poem have a link to the theme?? Because I think it does...

2004-07-16 [Sheona]: Yours definately fits the theme now, so don't worry ^_^

2004-07-17 [Kaimee]: Yup i would of gone all *scary kaimee* at you if it didnt after you'd fixed it:P

2004-07-17 [Doormat]: err...is midsummer nights seam a joke or...

2004-07-17 [Kaimee]: well he typed it twice so i assume not.

2004-07-17 [Doormat]: interesting use of the letter "g" and the word crap

2004-07-17 [Kaimee]: you could call it that ^^

2004-07-19 [Doormat]: too bad i can't enter in this...i can't write happy poems XP

2004-07-19 [Mordigen]: the poetry corner is doing really well this month

2004-07-19 [Mordigen]: the poetry corner is doing really well this month, lol, such a drastic change from before

2004-07-19 [ButterflyFairy]: There--I had to add the only non-depressing poem I've ever written, since it applies to the theme this month.*grins*

2004-07-19 [Kaimee]: non-depressings good:P

2004-07-19 [Elmiira]: :) this is a good idea! :) And the theme is just perfect this month! :)

2004-07-19 [Radagast]: Humm I'm guessing mine dosen't fit somehow

2004-07-20 [Kaimee]: i think you might be guessing right :/ thankyou for trying to explain it though, and final decisions certainly havent been made yet :)

2004-07-23 [barutha]: im liking that stupid humans one. that should win.

2004-07-23 [barutha]: also, what are faes?

2004-07-23 [Elmiira]: I thought this is not a contest... but I like that one too! :)

2004-07-23 [barutha]: oh it isnt? okay. but what is kaimee saying about final decisions? just final decisions as to whether or not things are allowed maybe. oaky.

2004-07-23 [Elmiira]: faes are faeries, i guess

2004-07-23 [barutha]: oh? silly/

2004-07-23 [Elmiira]: no you're not silly, because I didn't know it was faerie at the first time I heard it..

2004-07-23 [barutha]: why do they have a different name?

2004-07-23 [Elmiira]: a dear child has many names... :D don't care, that's a finnish phrase... I don't know, they just have...

2004-07-23 [barutha]: crazy world of fantasy.

2004-07-23 [Elmiira]: :D yep, that's right! :)

2004-07-23 [Kaimee]: barutha, firstly it states very clearly that only poetry that follow the theme will be featured, if you dont understand part of a theme you can always ask. secondly, no this isnt a contest! lol, this is the place to submit art to be featured in The Town Herald, elftowns very own e-zine. Any and all poetry that follows that months theme will be featured :)

2004-07-27 [Kaimee]: deadlines tomorrow folks, remember to make sure you have all the necessary info up and your poem follows the theme, afterthat we'll bee doing the final decisions on which ones go into the herald - that is, every single picture that follows the rules and theme.

2004-07-28 [Elmiira]: so, is the next theme decided yet?

2004-07-28 [barutha]: what happens to all the poems now then?

2004-07-28 [Kaimee]: The theme hasnt been decided yet, once it has been it will be postes asap here and at the Art Corner :) The poems are now sorted as to whether they follow the guidelines and whether the theme of each poem is judged suitably close to our own, then those poems that have been accepted will be featured in the next issue of The Town Herald. There will be an update of this page before then detailing which poems were accepted and which denied, and for what reason.

2004-07-29 [Elmiira]: okay, :) I'm waiting for the new theme, so I could write a poem... :)

2004-07-29 [Kaimee]: well as soon as we know it will be posted:)

2004-07-29 [Elmiira]: :)

2004-08-06 [hanhepi]: hey yall. i had a question for my advice column asking how someone could get their poems in the Herald. hers what i'm planning on telling them: Visit Poetry Corner. Find out what the month’s theme is. If you have a poem that fits the theme, go to Poetry Corner guidelines, read the page, and follow the directions. The theme changes to fit each edition of the Herald that comes out, so check back often to see if the theme fits your poems (or your poems fit the theme).  does that pretty much cover it? do i need to add anything? am i completely wrong? lol. lemme know soon so i can get this submitted by deadline will ya?

2004-08-06 [Elmiira]: I can't say anything, because I do't belong to the poetry corner staff, but it sounded very good to me... :)

2004-08-06 [hanhepi]: lol. well, if your poetry was accepted you must have followed the rules. lol. hopefully i will hear back from them by 11:00 et time. that will gimme a little time to make some changes if needed. i got all 2 of the other questions answered. lol. by the way, if you need advice on anything you can go to whoa! you want my advice?? and ask me stuff. lol. (more than 3 questions would look better. lol)

2004-08-07 [Kaimee]: lol, that looks fine but you could add make sure its in by the deadline! ;) lol, hope this is on time o .o;
